To capture a fleeting moment in paint is my goal. When painting I enter a world of heightened focus. My hope is that the viewer can enter that space and share the experience. I have been a visual artist since 2004 following my retirement from teaching elementary students. I am workshop trained. Albert Handell, Marvin Mattelson, Ramon Kelley, and Robert Liberace are just a few of my teachers. I work primarily in oil and pastel. My subjects include portraits, landscapes, flowers, birds, animals, and still life. I embrace the revival of realism. I believe observing nature and studying classical painting techniques will lead me on the right artistic path.
